Let's take it from the top. After you come up with an idea for your video, obtain the right equipment and capture great video, this is what you do next:

I Want to Put My Video on a CD
 

  1. Edit your video with video editing software (optional).
  2. Open your raw or edited video in an appropriate  compressor device and compress it.
  3. Compress your video according to data rate (probably LAN/CD).
  4. Burn the compressed video file onto CD.

I Want to Send My Video as a Simple E-mail Attachment
 

  1. Edit your video with video editing software (optional).
  2. Open your raw or edited video in compressor software.
  3. Compress your video according to data rate (keep it small!).
  4. Send the compressed video file via e-mail.

I Want to Put Video on My Web Site
 

  1. Edit your video with video editing software (optional).
  2. Open your raw or edited video in a compressor application.
  3. Compress your video according to data rate.
  4. Embed or link your compressed video file directly into your site code.

I Want to Capture and Stream "Live" Video
 

  1. Load to appropriate server.
  2. Make sure your recording device is plugged into your computer.
  3. Make sure your Internet connection and streaming server are in place.
  4. Begin a live streaming session.

I Have Already Captured Video and Now I Want to Stream It (outsource it).
 

  1. Edit your video with video editing software (optional).
  2. Open your raw or edited video in a compressor application.
  3. Compress your video according to data rate.
  4. Upload your compressed file to your outsource account.
  5. Send your recipients a small e-mail ticket telling them where they can view your video.
